Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE approved course) £80 ex VAT

This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks.

Who should attend?

Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid.

What you will learn?

Basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations.

First aid at work (HSE approved course) -FAW £240 ex VAT

This course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. The course will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

Who should attend?

Businesses have a legal obligation to provide adequate first aid training for their employees, we can help you to meet that obligation while providing interesting and informative first aid training which will ensure that your employees know how to deal with an emergency situation should it arrise.
Nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.

What you will learn

The course will give you the knowledge and confidence to deal with a first aid emergency in the workplace.

Course duration

Three days. The course is usually offered as three consecutive days, however, we also offer it as a split course over several weeks at some centres.

Assessment and certification

After completing a final assessment successful candidates receive an HSE approved certificate valid for three years.

This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. Upon successful completion of this three day course, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practise for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher.

First aid at work requalification - RFAW £160 ex VAT

This course updates the first aid skills for people who need to renew their statutory first aid at work certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid.

First aiders whose certificates have expired for more than 28 days must attend the three day first aid at work course.

Who should attend?

This course is for people wishing to renew a valid first aid at work certificate.

What you will learn

The course aims to update and refresh your knowledge of the First aid at work syllabus, while allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for a final assessment.

Course content

The course includes an update of first aid knowledge and skills and a revision of workplace requirements.

Two days.

Assessment and certification

Successful candidates receive the full HSE -approved First aid at work certificate valid for three years after completing a practical skills test.

Annual Refresher Training-AR £39 ex VAT

This refresher course provides you with an opportunity to practise and update your skills at any time during your three year period as a qualified first aider.

The HSE strongly recommends that you attend a refresher session once every year during this three year period.

Who should attend?

This course is for people holding a current First aid at work or Emergency first aid at work certificate.

What you will learn?

This session builds on your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic situations with simulated casualties. Candidates will practise first aid in practical, hands-on scenario sessions.

 Workplace Resuscitation £39 ex VAT

This short resuscitation course is for anyone wishing to update their skill in CPR

How will this help?


Who should attend?

All healthcare professionals should be proficient in resuscitating unconscious patients and must attend training every three years. Those with a duty to respond to paediatric emergencies must be trained in a specific protocol for children and infants. Non-healthcare professionals working in a healthcare setting should also be proficient in performing CPR .

What you will learn

Students will learn how to deal with unconscious casualties of all ages.

Certification

Early years first aid £80 ex VAT

Early years first aid
This course is a paediatric first aid course and meets the requirements of the Early Years foundation stage statutory framework.

The course focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by professionals, including teachers, au pairs and playgroup leaders, looking after young children.

It meets Ofsted requirements for registered childminders and the requirements for nannies under the DfES Approved Carers Scheme. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

Who should attend?
This course is for people working with younger children - those up to eight years old - or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

What you will learn?
The course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving young children.
